Odin is a fast, Bitcoin-native protocol that powers Runes, a new standard for creating and trading fungible tokens directly on Bitcoin. Click here to learn more about Odin and Runes.
With Plug, you can hold, view, send, and swap Odin tokens alongside BTC, ETH, SOL, and more, all in one wallet. Your entire portfolio is unified and cross-chain by design. Learn more about Plug’s multi-chain support.
Here’s how to get started with Odin tokens using Plug:
1. Get OdinBTC
All trades on Odin use OdinBTC as the base pair. You’ll need it to interact with Runes tokens. Click here for the full OdinBTC guide.
To bridge into OdinBTC:
Open Plug and go to the DeFi Hub (second tab at the bottom).
Tap Bridge to Odin.
Choose your input token — either ckBTC or ICP.
Enter the amount and confirm the bridge.
You’ll receive OdinBTC in a few seconds.
If you don’t have ckBTC or ICP:
Option A – Buy ICP in Plug:
Tap Buy (center button in the main menu).
You’ll be redirected to an on-ramp provider based on your region and payment method.
You may need to complete KYC.
Once complete, your ICP will appear in Plug automatically.
Then go back to DeFi Hub > Bridge to Odin and select ICP.
Option B – Mint ckBTC from BTC:
ckBTC is a tokenized version of Bitcoin on the Internet Computer. Click here to learn more about ckBTC.
To mint ckBTC:
Go to DeFi Hub.
Tap Mint CK Tokens.
Select Bitcoin, enter the amount, and confirm.
Wait ~20 minutes for the transaction to validate.
Once done, tap Update ckBTC Balance.
2. Swap OdinBTC for Runes
Once you hold OdinBTC, you can use the Odin AMM to swap for Runes tokens:
Tap Swap (center button on the main menu).
Select Odin as the source.
Choose the Rune token pair.
Enter the amount and confirm the swap.
The transaction will complete in seconds.
3. Send Runes to Another Wallet
To send any Runes token to another Plug wallet (or another Odin-compatible wallet):
Tap Send.
Enter the recipient’s address.
Select the Odin token you want to send.
Confirm the transaction.
How to View Your Odin Address
