If you’re switching devices, reinstalling PlugWallet, or want access to the same wallet on both your mobile app and browser extension, you’ll need to import your wallet using your recovery phrase. This process also applies if you’re coming from another ICP-compatible wallet. Follow this guide to regain access to your wallet, tokens, NFTs, and assets.
Step-by-Step Guide
Download and Install PlugWallet
Start by downloading the PlugWallet extension on your browser or the mobile app from your app store. Once installed, open the extension or app.
Click on “Import Wallet”
On the main screen, select “Import Wallet” to restore an existing wallet using your recovery phrase.
Enter Your Recovery Phrase
Carefully enter your 12-word recovery phrase to restore your account. Once done, click “Continue” to proceed.
Set Your Password
After restoring your wallet, you’ll be prompted to create a password. Ensure it is strong and secure.
NB: If you had multiple sub-accounts, after re-importing your wallet, only the main account will show initially. You’ll need to regenerate your sub-accounts. For detailed instructions, please refer to this article.
