Unable to Use the In-Wallet Reclaim Function?

Learn how to reclaim tokens when the in-wallet function fails.

Updated over 2 months ago

Important Context:

Sometimes, swap transactions may fail (more details on why swaps fail can be found here), and the in-wallet reclaim function might not work. In these cases, the best way to reclaim tokens from failed swaps is by using a laptop with the Plug Wallet extension and connecting directly to the DEX provider’s website.

Steps to Reclaim Tokens

  1. Access the Swap Provider’s Website via Extension

If the in-wallet reclaim function fails, you will need to use the Plug Wallet extension on your laptop to access the direct link to the DEX website. Here’s how:

ICPSwap

  • Open Plug Wallet on your laptop and go to the Swap section.

  • Select "Fallback" ⚙️ and choose the provider linked to the failed swap.

  • Find the two tokens involved and click "Try Reclaim on ICPSwap Directly" 🔧 to be redirected.

  • Or, visit the ICPSwap website directly:

    • Connect your Plug Wallet and approve the connection.

    • Click "View All" in the tokens section.

    • Select the missing token and click "Withdraw" to reclaim your tokens.

ICDex

  • Visit the ICDex website.

  • Log in using your Plug Wallet credentials.

  • Navigate to the swap pair used in your transaction.

  • Click the "Fallback" 🔄 option to reclaim your tokens.
