Depositing tokens into your Plug Wallet is a quick and secure way to get your tokens ready for transactions, swaps, or simply to keep them safe. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you deposit ICP or other tokens using different methods.
Option 1: Purchase ICP Directly in Plug Wallet
Plug Wallet offers a convenient way to buy ICP directly within the app through its integrated on-ramp features. Here’s how to do it:
Open the Plug Wallet app or extension and go to the "Deposit" section.
Select one of the following on-ramp providers:
Coinbase Pay 🌍
Onramp 💳
After selecting your preferred provider, you will be redirected to their external website to create an account and complete the purchase.
Both Coinbase Pay and Onramp will require you to complete Know Your Customer (KYC) verification before you can proceed.
Follow the on-screen instructions on the provider’s site to complete the KYC process. Once verified, you can complete the purchase.
Once the purchase is complete, the ICP will be deposited directly into your Plug Wallet.
Option 2: Transfer ICP from an Exchange or Another Wallet
If you prefer to use an external exchange or already have ICP in another wallet, you can transfer it to Plug Wallet by following these steps:
Open your Plug Wallet and locate your Account ID or Principal ID:
